Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Academic Dean to join our educational institution and lead academic programs, faculty development, and student success initiatives. The Academic Dean will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction, ensuring that curriculum standards are met, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the development, implementation, and assessment of academic programs.
- Manage faculty recruitment, evaluation, and professional development to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with department heads and faculty to enhance curriculum, teaching strategies, and student engagement.
- Monitor academic performance, student success, and retention rates, proposing initiatives to improve academic outcomes.
- Develop and enforce academic policies, ensuring compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
- Oversee budget allocation and resource management for academic departments.
- Facilitate effective communication between academic staff, administration, and students.
- Represent the academic division in meetings with school leadership, accreditation agencies, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or a related field; Doctorate preferred.
- Proven experience in an academic leadership role, such as department chair, faculty member, or academic administrator.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and student success strategies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation in an educational setting.
